Moving for a cause: the campaign to find a cure for MS
May 50K is a campaign raising funds to support life-changing research into multiple sclerosis (MS).
May 50K is a fitness challenge to run, walk or move 50 km over May, and raise money along the way. According to May 50K, over 33,000 Australians have MS, which is most commonly diagnosed between 20-40 years old.
Researchers behind this cause are certain that with more funding, it’s not a matter of ‘if’ we can stop and reverse MS, it’s a matter of ‘when’. 2SER Breakfast spoke with Sophie Drummond from the May 50K team, who shared her personal story with MS.
