The Cost of Living and Home-Grown Food
Nearly half of the Australian population is struggling to put food on the table because of the increasing cost of living. People are trying to navigate this by removing fresh fruits and vegetables from their grocery list. Fresh food is being cut because not only has its price rapidly increased, but it also perishes much faster than other items.
So how can we save some money while still getting the groceries we want and need?
Dr Kate Neale, a Researcher in the Faculty of Health at the Southern Cross University, talked to us this morning about how growing your own food can help offset the cost of living crisis.
