Last Friday the Australian Food, Society and Culture Network hosted a Data, Diets and Digitalism symposium at the University of Sydney. A host of speakers, including some from Canada and America, drilled into the role of digital technologies in their food scholarship. 

With The Daily Sam Baran this morning is Dr Alana (ah-LAAH-nah) Mann from the University of Sydney to give us an overview of some of the emerging research techniques in the field of diet research like foodscape networks and participatory mapping.
