The Dismissal an Australian Comedic-Historical Musical
Blake Erickson, Co-Writer of the new comedic Australian musical The Dismissal, based on the 1975 constitutional crisis, talks about the production.
The Dismissal focuses on the ousting of Gough Whitlam, the 21st Australian prime minister, in 1975. Half a century later, from the point of view of narrator Norman Gunston, there is a musical account of the event known as the dismissal. Through singing, dancing, and comedy, the retelling of a significant Australian historical event is one that audiences should not miss.
Now playing at the Seymour Centre, see The Dismissal for more details.
