The Dogs trained to find anything from Koalas to Narcotics
Training a dog is hard work and it can take many hours, days or even years to perfect their skills. However, some dogs are being trained to detect anything from truffles to feral cats to koalas and even narcotics. On the Mid North Coast in NSW these dogs have been used to detect injured koalas during the devastating fires.
The Drive was joined by Ryan Tate a trainer from Tate Animal Training Enterprises to discuss his conservation and detection work especially his most recent efforts in saving the Koalas.
