The Australian Bureau of Statistics ‘Inequality Stable Since 2013 – 2014’, press release released last month noted that wealth inequality was a problem of the past in Australia. However journalists have quickly discovered that the statistics in the report actually show wealth inequality climbing in Australia and that the data was misrepresented in the press release.
