The Ethics of Gene Editing

Genome editing has long been the topic of ethical debate – should we be doing everything in our power to make future generations healthier and happier, or should we let nature run its course? And what limits should we put on editing babies’ genes to avoid unnecessary modifications, such as to appearance or gender?

To chat about this contentious issue, we were joined by Janna Thompson, Professor of Philosophy at La Trobe University.
