A new program aimed at helping single parents buy a home was announced in this year’s Federal Budget. The Family Home Guarantee will assist 10,000 single parents buy a home with a 2% deposit. While the program appears to provide a helpful boost for single parents hoping to get on the property ladder at first glance, is it actually a good idea?
