The Forgotten Children: Kids of Nauru
World Vision and more than 30 non-for-profit organisations have joined together to send the message to the government that enough is enough, and actions need to be taken to save the children of Nauru. With reports of children as young as 12 becoming suicidal and suffering from extreme stress, with one boy refusing to eat for nearly 2 weeks, it’s clear that the conditions are inhumane.
This new campaign aims to have the children resettled by Universal Children’s Day, 77 days from now. Tess talked to Susan Anderson, the Director of Policy & Advocacy at World Vision Australia to get her take on the situation.
