The Hello Girls at Hayes Theatre

The world is in turmoil, drifting toward tyranny. Freedom is under assault. Nationalism is on the rise, and women are fighting for equality. No, it’s not 2023, it’s 1918 and the US Army are failing at the front lines due to poor switchboard communication skills. So they do something they’ve never done before – they hire women.

The Hello Girls is a new musical production hailing from New York and playing on the Hayes Theatre stage from 10th January – 4th February.

It’s funny, moving and a musical feat with a stellar cast. With the book, music and lyrics by Peter Mills, The Hello Girls is directed by Jason Langley, and stars Joel Hutchings who’s stepped away from the war (and his day job) to chat with Danny Chifley on the breakfast show (Joel, has a day job? With that voice?!)
