The Loch Ness Monster has been an endearing character in Scottish folklore for 1,500 years and next month modern science will weigh in on the debate of whether or not Nessie does exist! Using environmental DNA sampling that’s precise enough to find a single fish in a lake 20 kilometres downstream, Professor Neil Gemmell from the University of Otago and his team of scientists from around the world will descend on the Loch to give the world a definitive answer.
