The Legacy of Douglas DC3 Planes
For more than seven decades, the Douglas DC-3 aircraft has been operating all around the world. It is one of the longest serving commercial aircrafts still in operation today. There are eight DC-3’s in Australia right now, and one of them, the military variation called a C-47, is being taken care of by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Museum in Albion Park.
Bob Delahunty, President of the HARS Aviation Museum, joined 2SER to explain the significance of the Douglas DC-3 aircraft and its legacy in the history of aviation.
