The Mirror Electric with Matthew Quick
Have you ever found yourself thinking social media can be kind of strange? Australian artist Matthew Quick has. His exhibition opening at at Nanda Hobbs on Thursday the 10th of February, The Mirror Electric, examines the absurdities of social media, with painted portraits of marble statues on mirrored aluminium quickly placing the viewer squarely in the portrait. And in a cruel twist of fate, Matthew’s Instagram was hacked the week prior to opening.
Matthew joined Willy Russo on 2SER Breakfast to talk about his show and the hacking.
