The destruction and rebuilding of Sydney’s Allianz Stadium has built into a perhaps surprising election issue, with a legal bid last week from community group Local Democracy Matters to halt the Berejiklian government’s plans to knock down and rebuild the stadium being rejected by the NSW Land and Environment Court . The Greens have expressed their dissatisfaction with this proposal by the Liberal government, opposing the demolition and labelling it “an extraordinarily short-sighted infrastructure policy”.

We were joined on-air by Greens MP and legislative council member David Shoebridge to discuss the seemingly endless back and forth debate on the demolition.
