The Plight of Uyghur Muslims in China
Reports estimating 1 to 2 million Muslim Uyghur people have been detained in Xinjiang in so called “vocational training centres”. This has sparked international outrage and fear, some labelling it a campaign of cultural genocide. The US and other western countries have co-signed a joint statement to the UN condemning these actions, however many countries have supported China in response.
