The President: a dark comedy at Sydney Theatre Company

A co-production between Sydney Theatre Company and Gate Theatre Dublin, The President is darkly comical, and a relevant story of ambition, power and change.

After a premiere season in Dublin, The President is a new adaptation of Thomas Bernhard’s play, and the first time it’s ever been staged for Australian audiences. It also brings Hugo Weaving back to the stage, alongside one of Ireland’s greatest actor, Olwen Fouéré.

With an award-winning Irish director Tom Creed at the helm, and a powerhouse cast of exceptional Australian and Irish cast, The President is definitely an unmissable theatrical event.

It plays from 13th April – 19th May, for tickets head to sydneytheatre.com.au

An actor who plays multiple characters in The President, Danny Adcock, took time away from the stage to chat with Danny on the breakfast show.
