Trypophobia isn’t your normal phobia. It’s not the fear of spiders, or birds or tight spaces… because those would be rational. Those make sense.
Trypophobia isn’t rational, in fact there’s speculation about whether it’s even classified as a phobia to begin with. It’s the fear of small, clustered holes and anywhere between 10% to 20% population suffer from it.
If your prickling at the thought of a crumpet or a lotus seed, you probably have it.
Clinical Director of Sydney’s Phobia Clinic, Corrie Ackland, joined the Breakfast Show’s Tess Connery to help separate the fact from the fiction surrounding this contentious affliction.
