A once private act between you, your cds, iPod, or vinyls, has now turned into something for the world to see and for apps to track. Music streaming services with their social media functions and algorithms have drastically changed the way we listen to music, such as viewing what other people are listening to and having curated playlists made specifically for you.
Michael Walsh, Associate Professor in Social Sciences at the University of Canberra, joined us this morning to discuss this new era of music-listening.
