The Rise in Student Debt with Dr Alison Barnes

 A new National Tertiary Education Union report has revealed that some degrees could take up to 44 years to repay.

Most people who’ve been to or are at university have a HECS debt. But given the 7.1% HECS indexation on the 1st June in the midst of the rising cost of living, worries surrounding student debt have never been more relevant. Dr Alison Barnes, the National President of the National Tertiary Education Union spoke to us in more depth about who will be affected by this rise in student debt and if there is a way forward.
