Australia has one of the highest incidences of eczema around the world, though the cases are steadily increasing every year, yet experts are still puzzled why this is the case. There’s a rising number of individuals suffering from the debilitating condition, not only the cases in Australia but also across the world. Recent research data shows that approximately one-third of Australians will develop eczema at some point in their lives. This can be escalating rapidly in the worst being the cold and dry winter seasons. Since the chemicals in the products can be one of the main reasons to intensify the symptoms of eczema, people are trying to find natural and organic cosmetic products as an alternative. But are they genuinely as safe and effective as it is known for? Professor Dedee Murrell from UNSW joined us earlier to discuss about eczema and the relation with organic products.
