Grandmaster exists within the cosmic intersection of friendship, funk music and video games.

After traveling for centuries, he finds himself in a new realm known as “Earth”(specifically Austin, Texas). His journey is far from complete, but in order to finish his quest he must first gather the minds of the faithful.

But what is Grandmaster? Is it a far-reaching funk band whose self titled debut album is making much noise on 2SER? A multimedia experiment? An idiosyncratic portrayal of popular culture, subverting traditions while parodying numerous staples of the genre? All of the above?

Ambassadors of Grandmaster joined 2SER Breakfast to talk about the time Bootsy Collins gave them a guitar, as well as other stuff (as in we talked about other stuff… Bootsy didn’t give them other stuff besides a guitar, unless you count blessings and advice as ‘stuff’).
