The science of happiness
As a country, Australia is ranked as one of the happiest in the world, yet many of us are turning to antidepressants and other medication in order to survive in our daily lives.
So how much control do we really have over the level of happiness in our lives?
According to Dr Darren Morton, a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, and the author of Live More Happy:Scientifically Proven Ways to Lift Your Mood and Your Life the answer is “more than you think”.
He spoke with Nic about some simple changes we can make in our daily lives which can improve our mood, some as simple as getting more sunlight and eating more fruit and vegetables.
