We’re thrilled to announce that legendary radio host and DJ Sharif Galal will be joining the 2SER Family from this week, with his brand new show The Search Party. It’s both a quest and a celebration as Sharif scours the four corners of our planet and many others to find the perfect beat, hottest rhythms and most interesting sounds for your ears.

Sharif has been a musical traveller for many decades. Growing up in Egypt and with an insatiable taste for new sounds, he began broadcasting on Radio Cairo as a 17 year old before migrating to Australia. Since then he has held down numerous programs at 3RRR, SBS as well the long-running host of The Groove Train and Mixup on JJJ.

The Search Party airs weekly on 2SER from Midday every Wednesday from February 8. Sharif caught up with Danny from 2SER Breakfast in anticipation of the first edition of The Search Party to talk his history in radio and what he has planned for this awesome addition to Wednesday afternoons on 2SER!
