The Staging Post: A Story of Refugee Education Revolutionised
So, remember when Australia made us ‘safer’ and ‘stopped the boats’? Well the infamous policy had major repercussions for refugees fleeing crisis and conflict across the world.
The Staging Post is a documentary which tells the story of two refugees stuck in limbo following the ‘no boats’ migration policy.
Muzafar and Kadim were Afghan Hazara refugees stranded in Indonesia, who in their time built a community and started a school, the Cisarua Refugee Learning Centre.
The feature is a real-time re-telling of a unique expedition, filled with unrelenting passion, friendship and resilience.
