The Sydney Housing Crisis: What needs to change?

For most Sydneysiders, the housing affordability crisis is a part of everyday life.

Rental stress – defined by a household paying more than a third of income on rent – means that by 2036, the nation will need 728,600 social housing properties; a figure that experts state to be unrealistic.

In order to tackle this housing affordability crisis, The City of Sydney has called upon innovators from all over the world to source new ways of thinking to improving city life. `
