History is not a subject matter belonging to the dustbin of the distant past. History in it-self is a treasure trove of human endeavor, ranging from written records across disciplines, cultural interactions, geo-political intrigue and cultural memory, just to name a few. Historians are of the view that the discipline has the ability to inform our sense of collective identity through reflection and inquiry.
