This week the Nation’s gaze has been on Biloela Family, a Tamil family currently detained on Christmas Island. As the youngest member of the family is medically evacuated off the island to a hospital in Perth, community pressure is growing on the government to allow the family to resettle in Australia.
Anthony Dockrill spoke with Breakfast host Willy Russo to discuss how our major political parties are tackling the renewed public interest in the Biloela family. How does the Australian government, and Australia, move forward and do better? Is it time we start looking beyond our 2 major political parties for solutions?
