Things Hidden Since The Foundation Of The World

It’s the 1970s and pop icon Fereydoun Farrokhzad is at his peak – think Iranian Tom Jones – he’s a sex symbol and chart-topper.

A decade later he’s living in political exile in Germany while still performing sold-out shows in Europe. On 7th August 1992, he was found brutally murdered – the neighbours said his dogs had been barking for two nights.

This is a true story brought to stage at the Sydney Opera House in Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World from 19th – 21st January.

The production is an ultramodern multimedia theatre piece unpicking the way our thinking can be conditioned by the tools we use and by assumptions of both those constructing them and using them.

Co-writen by Javaad Alipoor, Javaad also takes to stage alongside Asha Reid, King Raam (Raam Emami) and musician MeLee Hay. Joanne Kee, executive producer of the National Theatre of Parramatta, who worked closely with Javaad Alipoor to bring this to a Sydney stage chats with Danny on the breakfast show.
