This Day in History, April 12th

9 out of 10 historians agree, today in history the Jewish fortress Masada fell to the Romans after several months of siege to end the First Jewish-Roman War. Albert Hofmann had an especially exciting day at work, discovering the hallucinogenic effects of LSD entirely by accident while researching the drug in his lab and “Doctor Death”, Jack Kevorkian, participated in his first assisted suicide in what would be a long and varied career. Plus birthdays for Charlie Chaplin, Spike Milligan, Dusty Springfield, and Peter Garrett!
