This Day in History, December 11th

Sifting the sands of time, we find today Chinese Emperor Xian was abdicate the throne, ending the Han dynasty, by the son of a warlord who’d been the real power behind the throne anyway. King Louis XVI of France went on trial for treason and shortly thereafter lost his head, and a dark day in recent Australian history with the Cronulla riots taking place on this day in 2005.
