Today’s date in the history books, Bardas Phokas the Younger and Bardas Skleros began a wide-scale rebellion against Byzantine Emperor Basil the Second, the colony of NSW officially became a thing, Lindy Chamberlain was released after three years of wrongful imprisonment over the death of daughter Azaria, and Black Saturday bushfires claimed 173 lives.
