Threading sustainability with recyclable fashion

As the nation observes Recycling Week, a simple message resonates: what goes around comes around, encouraging community members to be more active in recycling and to keep valuable resources circulating.

On average, each Australian buys 56 items of clothing annually and sends 23kg of clothing to landfill, according to Clean Up Australia.

Owner of Sustainable Clothing Co, Laura Vogt encourages the transition to thrift and says thinking about the start of a garments life and where it ends up is vital.

So, what do terms like recycling, upcycling, repurposing and pre-loved mean when building sustainability in the fashion space?
