It sometimes seems like Climate change inhabits this bizarre position in our collective consciousness. On one hand it’s an issue most of us are aware of. On the other hand, the magnitude of climate change combined with it’s presence within the news cycle has bred a bit of complacency as many of us mentally throw the whole issue into the ‘too hard’ basket. Sometimes It takes a damning indictment on the health of our Earth like the one just released by the CSIRO to jolt us back into awareness. And what a jolt is it: scientist have concluded that in 25 years the Antarctic Ice Shelf will have reduced in size by 3 trillion tonnes. 2SER was joined by Oceanographer & Climate Scientist Dr Steve Rintoul.
