Times are changing in publishing
We rarely ever talk about book publishing without mentioning money or sales figures. In Australia, 74 per cent of books are published by the ‘big five’ multinational corporations: Penguin, Macmillan, HarperCollins, Hachette and Simon & Schuster.
Does the industry’s emphasis on profit ultimately affect the way readers interact with books?
