Language is a living thing, and the good folks at the Macquarie Dictionary are actively keeping tabs on language as it grows and evolves, shining the spotlight annaully as part of their Word Of The Year.

Each year, their online dictionary is updated with new words, phrases, and definitions. Editors select a short-list of new words added to the dictionary and invite the public to vote on their favourite as well.
