Training Salon Workers to Help Clients affected by Domestic Violence
Dr. Hannah McCann returned to 2ser to provide an update on the progress of her project, The Beyond Skin-Deep Project, which aims to better understand and improve the relationship beauty industry workers have with their clients. This includes training salon workers in how to best provide respond to their customers in cases of domestic violence.
Dr. McCann’s survey has revealed that salon workers want to be able to provide emotional support to their clients as their jobs create such an intimate relationships. How have things changed since the beginning of this project?
