Treasurer refutes report that he suggested Kerry Chant should cop a pay-cut

NSW Treasurer, Dominic Perrottet, has hit back at allegations that he suggested that the State’s Chief Health Officer, Kerry Chant, take a pay cut if Sydney or its suburbs were unnecessarily locked down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Australian Financial Review, quoting an unnamed Liberal party source, says that Mr Perrottet had made the suggestion during Sydney’s Northern Beaches lockdown, earlier in the year.

2ser’s Tina Quinn spoke to Mr Perrottet about the allegations, as well as the new Covid Disaster Payment package announced by the Federal and NSW State governments.
