TRIBUNAL puts Australia’s colonial past on trial

“Welcome to the Australian Truth and Reconciliation Tribunal we’ve never had,” it says on the website. Artists, lawyers, leaders and activists will put Australia’s colonial past and controversial refugee policies on trial in TRIBUNAL, a powerful piece of political theatre that asks you, the audience, to be the judge. The stage production includes performances by Afghan performer Mahdi Mohammadi and Aboriginal activist and Elder Aunty Rhonda Dixon Grovenor.

Creator and director of TRIBUNAL Karen Therese joined Mick to chat more about the show, which will be playing at Carriageworks from January 17-21. Get your tickets over on the Sydney Festival website before they disappear.
