Trophy Boys at the Seymour Centre

We’ve all heard the stories that come from elite private boys schools. Well, a new show at the Seymour Centre, Trophy Boys is a look into the toxic masculinity, misogyny and homophobia well-documented in these schools, BUT it’s played by an all female and non-binary cast.

Trophy Boys is set at Melbourne’s St Imperium’s Year 12 Inter-school Debating Tournament’s Grand Finale, where the all-boys team are ready to annihilate their sister school rivals. It’s a queer black comedy about power, privilege and debating; playing at the Seymour Center from 19th June – 7th July.

It’s directed by Marni Mount, and written and performed by Emmanuelle Mattana, who joined Danny Chifley in the 2SER studio.
