Trump’s immigration crackdown sparks fears amongst advocates

Donald Trump’s executive order of a deportation plan of undocumented immigrants in the United States has sparked fears that millions of people could lose their family and friends, including US Citizens.

Immigration raids are set to be conducted following the order being put into law, however, the plan could face obstacles in it’s implementation.

Dr Daniel Ghezelbach, the Director of Caldour Centre of International Refugee Law at the UNSW, said  he’s concerned that other countries could potentially replicate Trump’s policies as immigration policy is followed closely by nation states around the world.
