The truth about terrorism recruitment in Australia

Yesterday, Sydney man Hamdi Alqudsi was sentenced to six years imprisonment as the central recruiter of what is being called Australia’s most prolific Jihadi recruitment network. Recordings have revealed a fairly thin code language being used between individuals in the network, with Soccer being used as a codeword for fighters, saying things like they want “the right players in the soccer club, or else you’re not going to be playing.” The Daily was joined by Dr Julian Droogan, from the Department of Security Studies and Criminology at Macquarie University, discussing the current situation with Syria and recruitment in Australia,
