Tuesday Book Club: Storyland by Catherine McKinnon
Storyland, by Catherine Mckinnon, is an Australian novel that discusses the narrative of Australia. Starting in the 1700’s, the piece tells the tale of history, colonialism, and connection to the land through the young leading characters, travelling across Lake Illawarra.
Spanning over the early centuries through to the future, the piece merges themes of historical fiction, thriller and sci fi, allowing the reader to engage with the history of Australia, culture and the relationship shared between the people and the land.
Andrew Pople from 2ser’s Final Draft show joined Nic to discuss the novel and set the scene for the Sydney Writer’s Festival coverage in the weeks ahead.
