This week, Andrew and Tess discuss one of Andrew’s favourite books of the year: Wintering by Krissy Kneen.

Kneen is an Australian novelist who transcends genre – from horror to erotica. Wintering focuses on Jessica and Matthew, too people living a secluded life outside of a small town in southern Tasmania.

One evening, Matthew’s car is found alone on the road. A manhunt is launched in to the deep Tasmanian forest. Jessica is forced to rely on the help of neighbors she has not met, and as she works with them she realises that her isolation may not have been entirely her decision.

This psychological thriller takes a distinctly uncomfortable look into the nature of human relationships. Check it out here.
