Turnbull’s Threat of Double Dissolution

“The time for playing games is over,” said Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull yesterday morning, rocking the Australian political landscape by proposing an ultimatum to the senate: Pass the industrial relations legislation or face a double dissolution.

With the threat of passing an unpopular bill or potentially losing their seat, many crossbench senators have said they will not respond to threat threat of ransom. Is Prime Minister Turnbull bluffing or is he determined to pass this bill at the cost of his government?
