Underfunding sees thousands of vulnerable women denied legal services

Last year, it’s estimated more than 52,000 women facing domestic and family violence were turned away from legal services, unable to receive help due to insufficient funding.

Women’s Legal Services Australia have published its 2024 federal budget submission, asking the government for a minimum of 10 million additional dollars per year, in order to meet the services demand, and continue to support vulnerable women.
