‘Unspoken’ short film set to premiere at Flickerfest this month!

Flickerfest is back for its 33rd International Short Film Festival. Being Australia’s leading Academy® accredited & BAFTA recognised competitive Australian & International Short Film Festival the event which spans over 10 days is sure to impress

Our Wednesday Drive presenter Sean Hatzi had the pleasure of interviewing Damian Walshe-Howling –  director of the short film ‘Unspoken’. The short marks his 4th film at Flickerfest and features Kat Dominis and Marianna Radan who both not only wrote and produced with Damian but also starred in the film as mother and daughter.

“Set in 1979. As volatile protests for Croatian independence break out across the city of Sydney, Croatian born Marina is forced to expose a secretive love affair with her Australian boyfriend, as escalating political violence spills into her childhood home with devastating consequences”

Damian collaborated with Dominis and Radan to create such an emotional, cultural and dramatic trip back to the end of the seventies that makes you feel for the characters and leaves you wanting more

Unspoken will be premiering at Bondi Pavilion on the 21st of January at 9pm get your tickets here!
