Australia’s blood donations have declined during the COVID-19 pandemic and Lockdowns. The Red Cross urgently needs an influx of donations in the coming weeks and months, or Australian hospitals, medical facilities, and patients will suffer. 

Breakfast’s Willy Russo interviewed The Australian Red Cross Life Blood’s Media and Communications Manager, Jemma Falkenmire, about why blood donations have decreased and how to safely give blood with COVID-19 still circulating the country.
