The US Supreme Court has come to a stunning decision to deliver US presidents’ almost total immunity against any and all crimes committed while in office as long as they can be vaguely defined as “official acts” of the presidency, all but openly declaring allegiance to Donald Trump. This comes in the same week that the court has severely undercut the ability of government agencies to enforce regulations on individuals and corporations, and ruled that government officials, not unlike the Justices themselves, are free to accept “gratuities” on services rendered. Also discussing Joe Biden’s dismal debate performance, Oklahoma requiring Bible studies in schools, and indictments for the slow response of Uvalde police during the 2022 shooting.
