Psychedelic drugs are now being considered for mental health treatment by Melbourne’s St. Vincent’s Hospital, who are currently trialing magic mushrooms on terminally ill patients. But what are the implications for mental health treatment around Australia? Could this lead to a positive new form of treatment or have negative impacts on the brain and lead to addiction? We were joined by Professor Jennifer Cornish from Macquarie University’s Centre for Atypical Neurodevelopment to discuss this.
