This week is National Stroke Awareness Week and this year we are reminded that strokes are one of Australia’s biggest killer with 1 in 6 Australians experiencing stroke in their lifetime.While strokes are a leading cause for disability and affect many lives, research suggests that support for stroke survivors is inadequate. National Stroke Foundation New South Wales Executive Officer, Teresa Howarth and UTS Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr Caleb Ferguson, joined Nic in the studio to speak about it.
